CCS QUENCH 300-16

DESCRIPTION                                                                              Product Data

CCS QUENCH 300-16 is a marquench oil formulated from high quality paraffinic base stocks and a highly refined petroleum residium. CCS QUENCH 300-16 is oxidation inhibited to provide long bath life at higher bath temperatures. The outstanding physical characteristics of this product coupled with the cost performance function ratio justify looking at replacing present quenching oil.

KEY PERFORMANCE BENEFITS

Exceptionally clean and bright finished parts.

Maximum uniform hardness.

High oxidation and thermal stability.

Outstanding resistance to sludge and deposit formation.

High flash point minimizes fire hazards.

Reduced smoke formation.

Good rust and corrosion inhibition.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

CCS QUENCH 300-16 is designed for Marquenching. This oil may be used in unprotective quenching systems where operating temperatures do not exceed 250*F and in closed systems operating in temperatures as high as 350*F. CCS QUENCH 300-16 provides enhanced fast quenching rates at elevated temperatures. Therefore, parts quenched in this oil attain hardness as comparable parts quenched in low viscosity fast quench oils at conventional temperatures. Marquenching in elevated temperatures dramatically reduces cracking and distortion of quenched parts.
