Syngear SH®
7000
Summit
Syngear SH®
7000 Series
synthetic gear lubricants are formulated using synthesized
hydrocarbon fluid and select additives to enhance oxidation
resistance and provide maximum protection against wear, rust,
corrosion and foaming. These synthesized hydrocarbon fluids (SHF) provide
significantly better thermal and oxidation stability, as well as
increased protection against the loss of viscosity than do
conventional good quality mineral oils. The high inherent
viscosity index of these oils provides higher viscosities and
therefore greater film thickness at higher temperatures and lower
viscosities for easy start-up and minimal internal friction at
lower temperatures. The
low coefficient of friction of the Summit
Syngear SH® Series
lubricants substantially reduce power consumption and gearbox
operating temperature, further prolonging the useable life of this
lubricant.
APPLICATION
Summit
Syngear SH® Series lubricants are recommended for use under severe
high or low temperature conditions when lubricating industrial
enclosed gears and heavily loaded plain or roller element
bearings. They are particularly recommended for applications where high
oil temperatures result in short oil life or high maintenance
costs. Summit
Syngear SH®-7032 through
Syngear SH®-71000 are also recommended for use in
applications where the corrosion of yellow metals is a concern as
these lubricants do not contain additives which tend to attack
metals such as brass, bronze or copper.
The
Summit
Syngear SH®-Series lubricants are
compatible with essentially all seal materials, plastics and
paint, including nitrile Buna N, neoprene, Viton®, teflon,
polyethylene, polyurethane ether, fluorocarbon, polyacrylate,
polysulfate, ethylene acrylic, epoxy, plastisol, PVC, acrylic
paint and lacquer.

Syngear FG
Summit
Syngear FG
series
gear oils are formulated specially for gear systems operating in
the food service and packaging industry.
These fully synthetic lubricants comply fully with the
requirements of F.D.A. 21 CFR 178.3570 for lubricants with
possible incidental food contact and are Kosher approved in ISO
grades 150, 220, 320, 460 and 680.
Syngear
FG lubricants are fortified with oxidation inhibitors as well
as anti-wear/EP additives to pass the highest stages of the FZG
test.
They are extended life lubricants and have the same
excellent software compatibility as the Summit Syngear series
gear oils.

PG Series
Summit
SYNGEAR PG synthetic
lubricants are polyglycol-based products for use in enclosed
gears, bearings, and compressors where conditions demand the
unique properties of these fluids.
Better wear protection, thermal and oxidation stability,
and reduced sludge and deposit formation insure enhanced
performance when compared to petroleum-based lubricants.

SH®-1000
Syngear
SH®-1000
series gear lubricants are formulated with synthetic base stocks
and fortified with select additive systems to enhance their
exceptional performance. The
synthetic base fluid used has outstanding oxidation and thermal
stability, naturally high viscosity index and excellent low
temperature pumpability and fluidity.
The unique additive system used provides increased
oxidation stability, extreme-pressure properties, and maximum
protection against wear, rust, corrosion and foaming.
In
today's world of efficiency improvements, there has been much
emphasis placed on reducing energy requirements for equipment used
in plant operations. Summit
Syngear synthetic gear lubricants have proven to reduce friction,
thereby reducing the input power to operate the equipment or
increasing the available power output.
The reduction of fluid friction results in lower lubricant
operating temperatures, prolonging the life of both the lubricant
and the equipment. The
additive system used in this product not only reduces frictional
drag, but also protects gears against failures associated with
heavy loading and meets the requirements of AGMA 250.04 and API
GL-4 Gear Service Category.
APPLICATION
Syngear
SH® 1000 series gear lubricants are recommended
for use in all types of enclosed gearing as well as plain and
rolling element bearings. These
lubricants are ideal for heavily loaded low speed gears and
bearings where boundary or elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication (EHL)
conditions exist, such as in mine hoist gear reducers.
They are particularly recommended for gearboxes which
operate under excessively high temperatures where good quality
conventional oils rapidly oxidize.
Summit Syngear Heavy Duty series gear lubricants may also
be used in certain open gear applications, but it is recommended
that Summit lubrication engineers be consulted to select the most
effective method of application.
Syngear
SH® 1000 gear lubricants are compatible with most seal
materials, paints and plastics, including nitrile
Buna N, neoprene, Viton®, teflon, polyethylene,
polyurethane ether, fluorocarbon, polyacrylate, polysulfide,
ethylene acrylic, epoxy, plastisol, PVC, acrylic paint and
lacquer.

Syngear 75W/90
and
80W/140
In today's world of
efficiency improvements in most industries, there has been more
emphasis placed on reducing energy requirements for equipment used
in plant operations and for vehicular equipment.
Much has been done in the area of lubricants to reduce
friction, thereby reducing the input power to operate equipment.
Summit has
developed synthetic gear oils which will not only reduce
frictional drag, but will also protect gears against failures
associated with heavy loading.
Syngear 75W/90
and 80W/140 meet the
requirements of the API designation GL-5, the MIL-L-2105D
specification, the Mack GO-H specification, and for limited slip
requirements on all types of vehicles.
Summit Syngear 75W/90 and
80W/140 are designed to meet the requirements for Eaton and
Rockwell differentials.

Syntenal CD-50 EQ
Summit
Syntenal CD-50 EQ
is a fully synthetic manual transmission lubricant for year-round
use in off and on-highway equipment.
Syntenal CD-50 EQ meets
the API service CD/SF classification and is suitable for
transmissions and gear cases where API GL-1 through GL-3 gear
protection is required. It
also has a very low pour point and an inherently high viscosity
index for excellent cold temperature flow as well as enhanced high
temperature lubricating properties.
Summit Syntenal
CD-50 EQ is designed to meet the requirements for Eaton and
Rockwell transmissions.
